Initial impressions of the 2024 Kia Seltos are positive, as it boasts a great fuel economy and powerful engine combination. Safety features are top-notch from the get-go, and all-wheel drive is standard on several trims. However, the entry-level LX trim is not well-equipped and lacks several features. On the plus side, the crossover offers plenty of space for rear cargo and passengers, and Kia provides the best warranty in the industry. However, since the Seltos is a new model, its resale value remains uncertain at this time.

The 2024 Kia Seltos is the top-of-the-line model, equipped with a 2.0-liter engine that takes everything to another level. The base offering for the new 2024 Kia Seltos features a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter engine that may not provide an exciting driving experience if you’re seeking power. However, with 146 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque, this engine offers slightly above-average performance for the subcompact class. Paired with a CVT automatic transmission, it can achieve 29/35 mpg.
All-wheel drive is optional and significantly lowers fuel consumption to 27/31 mpg. The AWD system also comes with an IRS that improves the handling and durability of the vehicle, making it capable of handling off-road excursions. For more power, the optional 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 175 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque is available in both high-end trims, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive.
This engine consumes more fuel, achieving 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox that does not require premium gas. The start/stop system can be turned off if it proves annoying.

The US version of the 2024 Kia Seltos has been unveiled, with prices starting at $26,000 for the base model. For the same price, you can opt for the S package.
