We initially believed that this year’s 2024 Kia Stinger was a bona fide sports car, thanks to its lineup of potent engines. The GT-Line base model comes equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 255 horsepower, while the top-tier models are powered by a 3.3-liter 6-cylinder turbo engine that generates 365 horsepower.
Kia will be introducing a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower, exclusively for the North American market by 2024. We wouldn’t be surprised if Kia does away with the base engine and opts for this new engine as it appears to bridge the gap between the other two. Every 2024 Kia Stinger will be outfitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the only consistent feature among them.
