New 2024 Nissan Titan XD Redesign, Interior, Price – Nissan attempted a different approach to improve its position in the full-size pickup truck market, which is dominated by the Detroit-based trio. However, introducing the uniquely sized 2024 Nissan Titan XD for 2016 did not fare as well in the market as Nissan had hoped.
Features
The upcoming 2024 Nissan Titan XD and lightweight-duty Titan models will receive updated front and rear fascias. However, spy images do not reveal any significant changes. The interior will also receive a few upgrades, such as a larger central display screen and a new control layout. Nissan has also announced that they will discontinue the Duramax diesel engine and the single cab model.
Exterior and Interior
Nissan recently announced that the 2024 Nissan Titan XD will discontinue the single-cab model but will continue offering extended crew and cab types. Despite Nissan’s claim of significant aesthetic changes, the prototype versions caught on camera suggest a relatively simple facelift for the front and rear fascia.
The camouflage covers the top portion of the vehicle, including renewed headlights and a likely tweaked front grille and bumper. The headlights appear to have a similar shape but come with new LED signature lamps, while the fog lights appear different. The front bumper looks almost identical to the current model.
Based on what we know, the interior of the upcoming 2024 Nissan Titan XD and lightweight-duty Titan will feature more substantial changes. The model will come with a redesigned center console, which will house a larger touchscreen display controlling an improved infotainment system. Nissan has also relocated the physical controls beneath the new center display.
Specification
To enhance the model’s position in the long term, Nissan has decided to discontinue the Cummins V-8 diesel engine and focus on the heart of the vehicle segment. The 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V-8 engine produces 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic Cummins transmission, and the Titan XD can tow up to 12,720 pounds.
No indication is that Nissan will offer a new engine option for the upcoming Titan XD, and the Endurance V-8 petrol engine will likely be the only available option. The current 5.6-liter Endurance V-8 engine produces 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. The single cab model is the best towing option, with a maximum towing capacity of 11,600 pounds.
However, Nissan has announced that it will discontinue this model. Suppose there are no performance upgrades for the V-6 gas engine. In that case, the 2024 Nissan Titan XD King Cab 4×2 is expected to become the most capable version with a towing limit of up to 11,380 pounds.
2024 Nissan Titan XD Release Date and Price
Nissan is expected to unveil the refreshed 2024 Nissan Titan XD and lightweight-duty model this autumn, arriving at dealerships early next year. The updated 2024 Nissan Titan XD lineup is expected to have a starting price of around $41,000. It remains to be seen how the refreshed Titans will compare to other best-selling models.
